Police detain couples on charges of drinking juices with na-mahram

BAHAWALPUR: Police have taken many couples into custody under allegation of drinking juice with Namehram (strangers) at public places in Bahwalpur today, SAMAA reports.

According to police raided many juice shops at Androon Fareed Gate area of Bahawalpur and arrested many couples while drinking juices.
When shopkeepers started protest against arrest of boys and girls, the police did not give any heed, saying they have been arrested for being together in company of strangers (Namehram) at public places.
Protesting shopkeepers were extremely disturbed and annoyed over arrest of customers from their shops.
They said on the occasion that police are troubling causelessly to their customers when they come for drinking juices. SAMAA
